Here is the KAOKO for the OEM bar. It has a plastic ring that slides onto the metal barrel. This plastic ring goes up against the notched large tensioning wheel. Now.......what will work with the Raptor Pro Taper Bar?????
Referring to the Kaoko: What is the measurement of the part that fits in the bar end? Is the Kaoko plastic or metal?

Tomatocity....the diameter of the piece that enters the bar end is about 19 mm at its narrowest point. I don't have a gauge so that is just eyeballing it against a metal rule so buyer beware etc. The length of the barrel bit that enters the bar end with the plastic collar in place is about 10 mm. That's so it can butt up against the welded in tensioning piece inside the OEM bar.

The KAOKO barrel itself is metal. The ring collar that you can see up against the cogged tensioning wheel is plastic. This KAOKO is fine for OEM bars but would not do with the Protaper Contour aluminum bars which typically have an internal diameter of around 14 mm. Steel handlebars typically have an internal diameter of around 19 mm. Anybody know what KAOKO model number would work with the internal diameter of the Contour model? Once you go non OEM it gets a little complicated to integrate bar weights and throttle lock. Must be doable though.
