DMC has sent me a picture of the almost-complete outfit, and some other pics of the project in progress. The sidecar windshield isn't installed even in the last pictures, and they don't have the bike windshield because I didn't include it when I shipped the bike to them. But other than that we can see what it looks like. It'll be a couple weeks getting shipped back to me, so I'm not playing with it yet, just drooling over the pictures.

Oh my, they made you a dedicated sidecar extended steering... damn, I wish I new the terminology for that. Looks kind of a hybrid cross breed there. That's going to steer so nice over just forks. I was a little thrown by the width/space between. Most I've seen are more compact, but that's going to be very stable being so wide... with that front end, it's gonna drive like a sports car. They got your shifter in too! So cool Katherine, proud of you.

It is indeed the Expedition. It's an enormous sidecar, but I think it's well suited since the Super10 is an enormous motorcycle. I don't think it will fit on the Kendon trailer I have been borrowing to haul the Ural. I hope to not need to trailer it; I prefer to ride my bikes to wherever they're going!

The fork mods are what DMC calls "leading legs". It's less expensive to bolt that extra stuff on the bottom of the forks, rather than modifying the entire fork to change the trail, and the Super10 has stout enough stock forks to support that. The brakes are the same ones, just moved.

They claim the handling will be pretty good. I will give a report once I have had a chance to try it. It can't be worse than the Ural. :)

Looks fantastic! Do you happen to know what size/make/model car tire they are using on the bike wheel? It looks narrower than a 205/50-17, which is the most available size for 17". (I used to run that size on my FJR).

I look forward to seeing pics of your big silly grin the first time you ride it. ::008:: ::012::

Very cool.

If you're open to ride suggestions I've got one for early May where you would be the star of the show. Although I suspect you'll find many friends at every stop wherever you go. An incredible bike like that is draw gawkers from every direction.
