That is a shame it did not work. Looked good in black, but will look good in silver also.

That's way too logical. Instead, you should get a tool tube, carry a can of paint in it, and just touch them up during gas stops. :D

Good effort, Mellow. I was a big fan of the idea, but alas, it's just not meant to be.

Yeah, I think they are too thin also... temperature changes and flexing probably make it a tough thing to paint and make it tough as well.
