I made the mistake of stopping at the Triumph dealer today and checking out bikes and ended up on a new scrambler. Bastards and their test rides. Anyway I was pushing 20k miles and it was due for a service so that's all she wrote. Hope to see you all out there and I am still available for rides. ::008::

Looks like a nice bike for your location. I had a W650 and it always put a smile on my face.

I know that eventually, good sense with TRIUMPH and you will go back to the Tenere. In the meantime, enjoy the ride, dude. You will not be punished. ::015:: R

At one time I seriously thought about the Scrambler. It is a nice bike. Same 270 degree firing order as the S10 too.

Motorcycle Consumer News thought the Scrambler was better off road the than the 800 Tiger Explorer. Which I found interesting and informative. Must be why these were so popular in the day - as Desert Sleds!

Then I remembered, I don't like the Triumph dealer network in my neck of the woods. I hope you have a good dealer network in your area. It can make for a great experience if you do.

Well it beats the heck out of a Moto Guzzi where dealer networks are concerned. ::008::

Congratulations - it's always nice to get a new bike !

I've made it a habit of owning every bike I've ever wanted which is probably why I'm riding something different every other year :)). Don't blame you at all for going after the Trumpet. The 68' Bonnie I had when I was a kid was a great bike. THis one should be even better. Enjoy.

I'm working my way thru the every bike I ever wanted and this one was on my list for a while now. :)
I do have a couple of real good Triumph dealers pretty close to me which is nice.
My next adventure bike will be a Tenere, Throw a set of K60 Scouts on it and it does everything well. IMO nothing else comes close to it's ability and reliability.
Took the scrambler out in some sand today and flogged it around a bit, The stock tires have some grip. ::008::

While I really like my Scrambler for running around town and rural riding, the Tenere definitely gets the nod for high speed comfort. Added a Dart windscreen to my Scrambler that helps wind blast quite a bit.

Anyway, congrats on the new bike and enjoy!

The only ones left on my list at this point are Ducati, a Guzzi, and I'd really like an old R90 as a second in the stable. The S10 will probably stick around for a long time.

You mean test rides help sell bikes  Someone is trying to keep that a secret from the Japanese dealers.

Congrats on the new bike. Have fun.

Nice moped. ::007:: ::008::

Did you at least defarkle your S-10 before giving it to Barney's???
If so, I've got dibs. I can fly across the skyway & fill my new panniers with stuff you might have.
Watcha got Turncoat?

Just kidding...I've been lusting about getting a Honda Fury chopper into the stable.

I love the Scrambler! I've wanted one for a long time. It wouldn't be logical as my only bike as I ride quite a bit on the slab but I definately think it would be a perfect second bike for me. I'm jealous!

It looks great. Have fun with it!
