I cheated, I found the blue wire where it leaves the ABS box under the seat.

I thought about doing that, but then I'd have to solder an extension wire and run it back to the side panel... too much work! I had to solder on 2 extension wires for the positive and negative leads to the Fuzeblock. I have to say, of all the bikes I've owned, and there's been many bikes, the way Yamaha has this one configured, with all the electrics easily accessible on the right side and the fuel tank nicely hinged, this one's the easiest to work on for farkelators like me. Heated grips is next.

Hi,

I had gear indicator running fine on my old Fazer 600 (2006). But when asked my Mechanic to change it to Super Tenere, told me it can't. Basically, need RPM and speed input. Have found RPM input by myself. Anyone have a clue wher to find speed ouptup or how to connect.
