The Pyramid Fenda extenders, easily available in the UK, have been an immediate fit on most of my recent bikes. I've had one on my S10 for 10,000 miles and it hasn't got anywhere near the large alloy bash plate. But I'm still anoyed that the Japanese (and Italians) are so wedded to styling that they don't fit a proper mudguard as OEM on their bikes but leave it to us to pay extra. Strange to say, my Ducati Multistrada 1200 came with a second longer rear mudguard to fit if you preferred it but still an inadequate front and it is the front that should keep the sh*t off the engine and radiator.
The Multi came with two fenders ? What was the price difference between the Ducati and the Yamaha ? You paid for the extra fender.. 8)
I cant speak for anyone else but myself. But I use this bike as an ADV bike. I go off road with dust, rain, snow, stream crossings, over rocks and though the woods. I look forward to going camping out in the back woods. I could care less about getting my bike dirty, that's what 'this' bike was made to do (for me)... These products are really a rain / road grime "guards"... If you take the bike off road where I ride they would more than likely get destroyed and ripped off. I don't think that the Japanese or the Italians have any issue with styling with these bikes, they design them for a purpose,, as an ADV bike.. If the customer chooses to ride 'on road' and they want the road grime / water from touching there engine, these are wonderful products !
This one bike (as with all bikes) can be bought 'stock' and transformed into what each customer is going to use it for. Each customer has his or own idea of what is 'right' for there purpose.. It sounds for your style of riding, you bought the right parts. And all these parts are easily availiable though RIDE ON here in the USA.. ::008::
