I simply MUST ask, are you male or female? And are you bald?
My wife tells me that I am male. I have a full head of hair. But I am one ugly sumbich, so don't get excited. R

Two outta three is way above average.

Actually, I was kidding with Bald Eagle. His post presented a somewhat interesting paradox that deserved a rib or two.

However, when do you plan to be in Colorado? ;)

Rem has started a trend toward visual imagery that's just plain wrong, but in fairness I simply MUST ask, are you male or female? And are you bald? Enquiring minds want to know. ::26::

On topic, though, if you needed the pegs a foot lower, you could probably also mount swivel casters on them and not have to put your feet down when you stop at a light. ::025:: ::025:: ::025::

Male, bald, and not speaking from first hand experience on te pelvic exam.

Well done ... but do I wear it on my head, or sit on it ????? My wife alludes to the fact that it wouldn't make much difference. R

Sorry, I thought that question was intended for BaldEagle. Me? Uh, I dunno. I guess as soon as all you guys' checks come in and I can afford it. I'll warn you in advance so you can lock up the women and children. R

It's curious that she wouldn't ask how you get it on your head if your head is up...there. That would be what my wife would wonder. ::025:: ::025:: ::025::

I'm thinking she's not noticing a whole lot of difference one from the other.

I'm also thinking I should say something about forward pegs ..... I don't have any forward pegs. I wonder if they make any for SW Mo Crash bars >>>> ??? R

I'm thinking what BaldEagle wants, is something like the Mick-O-Pegs. http://www.ridingiswonderful.com/

I loaned my Honda NT700V to these guys, to prototype pegs like this for that bike. The pegs they came up with work very well. When you put your feet on them, they fold down so you can have your feet very low and forward, but they are spring loaded so when you take your feet off of them, they fold up out of the way, so they won't drag in the corners. When I used them they were solid, but I was able to completely ignore them when I wasn't using them.

If people here are interested in these, I could contact Jim and ask him if he has plans for the Super10, maybe offer to let him use my bike for prototyping, sometime this winter.

Looks good, except with my long legs, I want them about a foot lower than where yours are mounted. I have the AltRider bars and was looking at peg mounting locations this weekend. I can't lift my legs up high enough to place my feet on pegs mounted anywhere on the bars without having my knees in my face and leaning way back. If my legs were shorter it still would seem like visiting a GYN for a pelvic exam. Seriously, mounting pegs to the sides of the skid plate would work better for me.
Depending on clearances and angles you might be able to hard bolt this joint to the skidplate:

Footpeg joint for M10 holes, pair, black

Then choose one of these footpegs:

I would be curious to see if this works.

K - looks like a good option. I would be interested in something like those. it fits the nature of the bike I think...down for those long rides to get you to the dirt road where they stow away for the good stuff. No chrome please :).

The only chrome I like is on the fork tubes...

I have Mick-O-Pegs on my Wing and they are wonderful. I was looking at the AltRider bars to see if there is a position to mount something similar. On the Wing they have mounts for either a horizontal (parallel to the ground) bar on the Wing crash bars or a vertical (perpendicular to the ground) bar mount. The Wing bars are MUCH lower and farther forward than the Altrider bars. The Altrider bars really do not have a good mount location that would allow a pivoting side mount similar to Mick-O-Pegs. I'm interested if Jim can come up with something.

I was looking at those. The fact that they could rotate to any position gives some flexibility for mounting location and still allow them to fold up for off-road or if the bike goes down. Having the pegs round and the same on all sides helps with mounting options. The black color options work too. I have to look at the skid plate more for mounting location, but I think I will try those.

My concern with the skidplate mount is being too low and dragging them on a rock(s) and possibly damaging the skidplate. Other than that it would be cool.

I have that same concern. If the Altrider bars had a bar that ran horizontally across the two lower side mounting bolts I would use the Kury option posted above that can be mounted below the bar. I might even flip them over so the pegs point inboard and hang below the crash bars, if there is room to do that to keep them out of the way (similar to the original Mick-O-Peg). I really like the Altrider bars otherwise I might swap out for another option. So far it looks like I'm stuck with trying to work something with the skidplate, though the Altrider skid plate doesn't look ideal for that, especially the way the left side flairs out on an angle.

I have made a bracket for the pegs and will post the pic in the morning. You may be interested in the idea and it is a cheap way to go. This is on an ALTrider bar.
They hang down from the bar, and are high enough to not drag.
