"all who wonder are not lost"
Finally pulled the trigger!
I had been a longtime rider when I hit a deer on the highway in 1999 riding a Yamaha Maxim. Walked away from that with nothing but bruises and a stitched up knee, but it put riding off for a while. Jump to couple of years ago and the wife agreed to let me look at getting a new bike. I landed on a Suzuki Boulevard because it was comfortable for the wife (willing to use whatever tactics I could to get the new bike plus I like having the wife with me on rides).
While the cruiser was comfortable for her, it was not something that was comfortable for me on longer rides. I wanted a riding position where I was upright and my feet were under me. I never got used to having my feet out front.
I had read many articles on good bikes for distance and pillions and the adventure style bikes really appealed to me. I have been commuting with the cruiser and having the higher riding position to see traffic was also a plus.
I had been lurking around the forums for both the VStrom and the S10 for months. Decided the S10 was just fit better for what I wanted. And I have never been happier with a decision! This bike is great!. I have only had one weekend to put 300 miles on her but wow, I love this bike. Looking forward to few more hundred miles this weekend (after the yard work is done of course… got to keep the wife happy)
