What an amazing machine! Had a neighbor drive me the hour and half to Romney, WV early Saturday am so I could pick it up.

The first 40 minutes or so riding home were kinda terrifying! It was my first time being on a BIG BIKE and getting to know all the knobs, and switches, and figuring out cruise control and whatnot. It was pretty chilly out and the new and not broken-in KLIM Element gloves were making my hands go to sleep/numb. So that added to the fun. They are broken in now though so no problems but man, that first hour or so was tough.

Was much more comfortable by the time I got home 120 or so miles later-took the scenic route.

Put 100 miles on it today and am getting much more comfortable, confident and skilled on it. Figured out more about how my jacket works too. Those vents you zip open or closed are pretty darn cool and you can adjust them on the fly if you have to. Lots of learning going on here, bike, clothing, and me- all while trying to stay alive and in one piece in the age of texting on smartphones. Like auto drivers needed more distractions!

Of the Farkle I ordered, only the skid plate had come in so I had them put that on at least and I will drive back next Saturday and they will put the remainder on (Crash bars, fog lights, OEM side panniers).

Planning to take it to Maine the first week of May for some turkey hunting. How I will get a turkey home I am not sure, I guess I can strap on a cooler if I have to. Hoping the Benelli M4 shotgun will fit, disassembled, in one of the panniers.

Thanks again to you all for getting me going on this. Will be posting many questions in the coming years I think. Had the salesman take a photo with my Iphone before I drove off the lot so I could post it for you guys. Thanks again to you all!

Looks great! WV is looking good in the background too. I've had an M1 for years be great to have a scabbard mounted on the bike. Haven't figured that out yet. Seen a white hen on our place last week. The first time I've seen one in the wild in my 55 years. Hope she makes it. Looks like an easy target for predators. Glad you got the bike we know you'll enjoy it.

Beautiful Color and it is well known that red models have another five horse power ::013::

If you have not done so, please take a MSF course :)

Enjoy the ride!

Looks great. That Benelli may not fit into a side case, but it'll be easy to carry it in a hardcase across the back or on top of a sidebox. Those panniers will carry ice to get your bird home. Or beer.

They had at least 2 more red ones as well as the silver one on the showroom floor. S10s were in abundance!

I have taken the basic MSF course years ago that gets you your M endorsement on your drivers license and will take the next level up this summer once I have gotten comfortable with the new bike.

Forgot to mention in my first post about the buffeting. Man it was brutal! I stopped at least 3 times to experiment with fairing heights, and discovered that the lowest setting helps but I think I need to research dremmeling a couple inches off the top so my head can enjoy clean, turbulence free air. Will try raising the seat to the tall position also. Or maybe I need to higher instead with a tall windscreen. So much to learn!

Nice! Really like the colour.

I just picked up a 2014 non ES in Grey. Glad to finally be an owner and not just a wanabe lurker. I still have not seen it as it still in a crate 400km away. Did it all by phone and email. Can't wait to get it. Have to wait for the snow to melt now.
