I'm having 'stuff' from our 2011 moved to our 2014 before I pick it up but I'm not entirely sure what fits and what doesn't. I think most of it does but I've just looked at the Touratech site which says their handlebar risers fit 2010-2013. I've no idea what make the ones on our bike are. Has something changed that may prevent them fitting on the new model (I coudn't see anything different).

The Givi Air Flow isn't listed for the 2014 which is a shame as I think it's a good screen. I assume the Akrapovic can does but I'm not sure whether to move it or not as it rubs against the hugger that prevents crap covering SWMBO's legs; apart from changing the exhaust note (which I don't really care about) does the can do anything useful?

Metal Mule says they can see no reason why the panniers shouldn't fit although they haven't had one in to confirm that. I assume the crash bars, seats, Pivot Pegz and rear rack (which we've had modified) will, I read in another topic the AltRider belly pan will and Jaxon tells me the tank will. Our custom satnav holder won't but we can get a different one made.

Apart from the odd piece of frame bling is there anything else that definitely doesn't fit?

Thanks.

I found out they're from RideOnAdv and Jaxon tells me the 2014 model is different. That's a blow :(.

I'd be happy to give your Givi Air Flow a new home ;)

The top triple clamp is definitely different on the 2014 which affects how the handlebars are mounted, so most risers for the earlier years will not fit.

If you want to keep your Givi Airflow, you will just have to remove the windshield adjustment mechanism from the 2014 and attach the windshield to the same mounting point that the earlier years used, the adjustment mechanism is just attached to the same framework as the earlier models.

The only issue I see with pannier mounts is on the ES version, the fill panel and some of the electronic bits for the suspension are in the way, this isn't an issue with the standard 2014 model.

If your pannier racks attach to the bottom of the passenger footpeg mount I don't think there is much of a problem even with the ES other than possibly have to remove the fill panel, the electronics are inside the frame rails so they won't be an issue.

I left it on the bike I'm part-exchanging I'm afraid and I suspect the postage from the UK means your savings would be somewhat less than you anticipated!

That's what Jaxon said. I'm now hunting for something that will fit as without them I'm not going to be able to use our expanded tank. He also said there will be 'millions that fit' <g> but I still need to identify what will.

Thanks but I want to keep the new screen as is because I'm going to use the satnav mount bar...I think. If I wait I'm sure Givi, MRA, <someone> will bring out a similar split screen for the new model.

'ES', is that the same as our ZE - ESA, etc? That's the one I've gone for. The Metal Mule pannier mounts fit to the grab rail bolts and passenger foot peg mount so hopefully I'll get away with it.

I had some made in the end. They're nice and simple and lift the bars 20mm which is enough to clear the expanded tank.

A quick update:

The Metal Mule pannier rails do fit on the ZE (ES) but they need to go on to the outside of the foot peg hanger, with a bit of packing at the top mount so they line up, rather than the inside of the hanger as on the 2011; this is so they clear the new extended heat shield.

The AltRider belly pan needed a bit taken out of the back so it didn't rub on the exhaust system.

The expanded tank, rear rack and seats fitted with no problems and I had a new dual satnav carrier made.

I didn't put the Akrapovic can on in the end as I couldn't see any advantage in doing so.

Can you snap a pic of the pannier racks mounted?
Sorry, I saw this then forgot about it. I'm not sure what you're trying to see but as long as it's not a close-up these show you the pannier rails (please ignore the mud).

What? Mud on a Ténéré? For shame! Someone would think you were off the pavement.

Thanks for the idea on how to raise the 2014 bars. I like the looks of that.

Thanks Jaxon. I think the WorldCrosser graphics set the tank off nicely. I don't like to think how much money we've poured into this bike but it worked well on a recent rally and we only resorted to the spare petrol can once.

I don't think there's much else I can/want to do to it apart from changing the hugger to one that will work with the Akrapovic can I have in the garage (I wish there was a Tenere-compatible Mudsling) and I'm still looking for metal-stemmed tyre valves - several people say they have them but no-one yet has been able to tell me exactly which ones will fit - then it's done....well, apart from rigging it with water for next year's IBR.

Edit: Oh, and swap out the AltRider belly pan for one that sits a little higher if such a thing exists.

I to have a white one but don't see me needing a larger tank. However I do like the look of your risers. Did you get them local? Do they snag or interfere with cables etc?

Chris, at CT Motorcycle Services, had them made for me by a local engineering firm while he was doing the paint and electrics.

There's no interference with anything, in fact I don't even know they're there when I'm riding.
