Jaxon hooked me up with some Squadrons and they are really nice lights. Incredibly well built and VERY bright. I saw another post on here regarding the use of the stainless brackets that come with the lights so I modded accordingly and got them installed. This is the thread that shows how to mod the brackets: http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=4651.0 Perfecto.

I am running them independent of the stock lighting harness. I tapped into the key-on positive for the heated grips to activate the relay and then routed + and - to the battery for main power. For now I am using the switch from Baja Designs, but will soon hook up Jaxon's custom bar switch.

Also, until I see how much heat they generate when used for long periods I put some heat-reflective tape between the light housing and the bottom of the headlight plastics so I don't melt anything. It seems like they don't make too much heat, but just wanted to be cautious.

The Sun is jealous of my light-emitting capability.

The lights are right up close to the plastics. It seems like they don't make too much heat, but just wanted to be cautious.

I used them on full brightness from Van Horn to Tucson without any issue, no melting, no burning. And no deer. Just some pissed off truckers.

You can use the heat tape...but its a waste

Well, ran around to go get some dinner and had both on, but angled down a bit.

I now refer to these as "Light Bulldozers" because people get out of the way when you come up behind them. I think they just can't figure out what is going on and decide it's better to move over and let whatever is carrying twin suns on the front of it pass by them.

WEEEEEEE! LOL.

Where did your horn go?
My horn (an OEM Hella replacement for an 85 Mercedes wagon) was moved to the bolt/bracket that holds the front brake hose on the front of the frame above the headers. You can just see the upper right edge of it in the first pic. It's silver.

Nice - I just got mine wired up, too, from Jaxon. Love them. They turn darkness into an oblivion of light.
