The technique is called Water Transfer Printing.
That's great to know.
I did a bit of research on the web when I first saw it and was fascinated by the possibilities with this process.

Bloody great looking finish, and a very nice looking completed product.

Well done to Tabasco and you Blue eyes.. ::012::

Strange as this is my first post but I had to say this great. I had this same type project in my head and after finding this thread I just :D. I was going to cut a little more but I really like the shape you ended up with. I have an Arrow exhaust on the way and now I'm motivated to get this done. I'm going to play with a few designes before I start cutting.

Careful when cutting this plastic. It has some strange properties that I have not seen before with cutting plastic... Ive cut a ton in my day. This is not forgiving. Only thing I can think of is its made different for heat, IE heat shield.... go slow...

You can get some fantastic effects with water transfer printing, myself and a friend are starting up a business doing this in the coming months, have a few ideas for the S10 at the moment, one of them is we may do some digital camo parts on my bike for the ultimate urban assault look.

Yeah I thought about that possibility too. That would look awesome! You would however need to offer the camo look together with a SPOT device in case you get into an accident in the outback.... Your bike will never be spotted and found..... ::025::

That process is freaking incredible! I've never been so riveted to a technical demonstration. ::013:: As someone else already said, it sure opens a lot of possibilities ::012::

Nicely done Blue Eyes! I love that white/red combo, it would have been my first choice had it been available here in the US.
