Ahhhh and there's the rub! No direct contact number? No person to speak with if there's a question or an issue? And you want me to send my $1000 beloved ECM to the other coast and trust that it will be handled with loving care? Hmmmmmm. I'm going to think about that one. I'm sure this will work out fine for all involved but I'm a skeptical New Yorker who has trust issues :( I think I'm going to wait until the distributors who I can communicate with directly have access to this flash. At least I can chat with someone directly to confirm the status of my order.

I received a direct email when I went to their site and placed my order. I shipped my ECU via UPS and included a prepaid return UPS label. UPS tracking showed that it was delivered to them yesterday, so I emailed them this morning to ask when it would be flashed and returned. I just now got a return email saying that it was flashed yesterday, the same day it was received and shipped back yesterday. Great service in my case as far as I am concerned.

ECUnleashed received my ECU on 4/25 and shipped it back on 4/30.
I choose two day shipping so I should get mine by the end of business tomorrow.
They had my ECU in their possesion for 6 days...to me that's not bad considering they did the job for FREE! ::003::
They didn't have to give us a FREE upgrade but they did. So I'm not complaining! ::005::

Well, I got a return email from the contact portal on their web site, saying they flashed it and dropped it off at Fedex last Friday. Unfortunately, It has not gotten delivered as of this afternoon, though it was an overnight label. I checked the Fedex site, and it does not show the label entering their system. Lost in space. I am not happy.

I'm at a loss for what to say and can assume most who have read your post are too.

PM sent

I am in a similar dilemma, I filled out the online order, no confirmation, no contact. Posted in this thread, nothing, sent a PM to ECUnleashed, nothing.

I am reluctant to send it in, nowhere to send tracking info to, no reply to my order form entry, NADA. And I went the private route first with PM's.

Anyone reach out to the dealer that did their gen 1 flash to see what they say?

For anyone who cares, I finally got my ecu back just now. ECU Unleashed claimed in an email to me yesterday that they overnighted my ecu to me on Friday. Well, I had provided the pre-paid Fedex shipping label, and could see that the package had not entered the system until this morning. Seems they sent it only yesterday. You draw your own conclusions.

I have one significant bit of advice for ECU Unleashed, if you are reading this thread, and that is to make your communication to your buying public - the ones who pay your salary, your bills, pay for your vacations, etc - SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER. I cannot emphasize it enough. If I treated my client base the way I have been treated, I would be out of business in short order.

Here is another teensy suggestion - have a friggin' phone number. 20 year olds text and Facebook, but old coots like most Tenere owners, the ones who can afford $14,000 motorcycles and the thousands of dollars in added farkles, don't text and Facebook like that. We want to call someone to ask a couple of questions and get a sense of comfort before we part with our property and money.

I am grateful for the free update to the flash - I truly am - but there is a long way to go for your company in the customer relations / communications department that would likely create many more happy customers, and convert people like me who are simply glad the ordeal is over, and that I actually have my property back.

YMMV

Mark, I have to echo your comments. In an email to me Wednesday, the said my ECU was shipped back on Tuesday. I just checked the UPS tracking number from my return label and it has not been picked up yet! I just sent them an email asking what is going on there.

In their defense, ECUnleashed is, by itself, a very small operation that normally only develops tune files for other tuners. In this case, ECUnleashed is taking all of the Super Tenere ECU's, regardless of where you had the tune done and personally updating the tune file for free minus shipping. This alone, in my opinion, is very generous and is certainly not a requirement of ECUnleashed. I know that they are currently a little overwhelmed with the response to their offer and I'm sure they are doing their best to offer quality service to everyone.

As Mark R stated above, I also am very grateful for their updating the ECU's for only the cost of shipping. However, there is something seriously lacking in their communications with customers. I hope that is all that is lacking. A few posts above I was thanking them for great service based on their telling me they flashed mine Tuesday and shipped it back to me the same day. Now I find out that it hasn't been picked up yet by UPS. Makes me wonder if they still have my ECU or shipped to someone else, if they did flash it, did they enter the info I sent them about mods, etc, etc. At the very least, if they haven't sent it back, please tell me that, don't tell me it has been shipped if it hasn't. I'm a mature adult and can handle a factual status report.

I sent another emil to ECUnleashed today via their contact portal, finally got a reply advising ship it in. I am shiping it today FedEx priority overnight, and have includes a same return lable. I will get notifications when it delivers and when it picks up.

I am an old fart that does text and email and facebook, but sometime ya just can't beat a good old fashioned phone call.

And like La-Motor, I will defend them to a point, the volume is usually handled by their dealers, who are set up to deal with customer contact. I got a buck sez he now wishes he had managed this through his dealer chanel for some small stipend to eliminate the hassles at the home office.

Sent my ECU in for the Gen 2 re-flash on 23 April, got it back on 02 May.

No complaints here. ::008::

I just got a call from Michael. He said that he had me mixed up with another customer, so that is why the email that said they shipped mine back Tuesday was incorrect. He flashed it today and it is supposed to ship today. I told him thanks for the call as I can start breathing again now. :p

Yep I think he's getting the hang of turning these units around now and back to customers...glad to hear folks are getting good results on the Results thread, especially with the dreaded off idle stumble that some said was still apparent on their Gen1 flash.

I sent in an email and PM to get this done. Am I supposed to wait for a reply with shipping info or did y'all just look up the address and ship it prior to receiving a response?
