drive shaft

Grasping at straws here, but there is a noise I can't pinpoint because it goes away or is not audible above 36ish mph or below 25.

The noise is not related to engine speed as it does it with the bike off, or clutch pulled in.

With the shock removed, and if the swingarm is moved through the arc of full travel, is there anyway for the driveshaft to get tweaked? There are no new noticeable vibrations, just a rapid noise best described as if something was lightly touching the spokes as the wheel goes round. (there is nothing loose on the wheel/lines/etc).

Problems that only arise at speed are pretty irritating ::010::

Only the shock and windscreen were changed since I rode it last, but everything looks just fine.

pulled back the boot while I had it on the lift looking everything over - Can't imagine it would be the ujoints or anything. Still I might grease the splines in the next day or two, loosen things up and make sure it's all aligned again .
Rally next week, so she's gonna see some miles regardless ::26::

In general, bad u-joints often make a clicking or snapping sound as the drive shaft rotates.

Loose spoke?

Spokes are all present, and reasonably close in tension and the wheels are pretty true.

I'll pull the hub tomorrow and have close look at the ujoints. First night back at work after 2 weeks off for rotator cuff problems - just don't have it in me today lol
