Th biggest problem I see is the officer and his attitude. He escalated a non issue, wasn’t professional in any way. The other officers do nothing to diffuse the asshole cop. That’s the problem and the public is tired of cops with this attitude.
People can be dumb sometimes, we all do dumb things sometimes. How would you feel if your doctor told you to “pull your head out of your ass” ? We need to get rid of police who act like that.

The rider was clearly harmless, if not very smart. LEO should have seen this and DE-ESCALATED the situation, instead he escalates it. And fellow LEO’s should police their own and step in immediately, show loyalty to their oath and people’s constitutional rights, then loyalty to their fellow LEO‘s
until they step out of line. I know the peer pressure of the group makes that hard, too bad, each LEO needs to be trained to ignore peer pressure.
Store manager has a responsibility to shoppers to provide safety, but his suspicions do not make the rider guilty.
The LEO seemed to think the riders silence was another strike against him, sorry, no, rider can choose to invoke that constitutional right to remain silent at any time, and it cannot be used to infer guilt.
The “Bully Cop” was responsible for this going downhill, he should have just escorted the rider to his motorcycle and made sure he left the premises.
