Does the front axle need grease?

I just removed my front wheel to get a new Dunlop Trailmax Mission tire put on, should there be any grease on the axle and or anywhere on the wheel sensor cover?
There was a little bit of grease on the seals, but not much of anything on the axle or anywhere else, the bearings are smooth, so they don't need replacing, I just want to make sure before I button it all up as the shop manual doesn't mention lubrication at all upon reassembly. Oh, it's a 2013 with 29k miles on it, had a Shinko 705 from the PO that had some wicked scalloping going on.

Just enough to prevent any corrosion on the axle , very light coat.. I love my trailmax tires btw.

I always lubricate both the front and rear axle, either with something like Belray's Waterproof Grease or with anti-seize.

I just use a little motor oil to lube the axel’s before reinstalling them.

Yep, very light coat of plain 'ol lithium grease.

And this is the key reason for doing it! To make it easier to get the axle out next time although going in lubed up always makes that easier too.
