Delivery Dreaming!!!

After reading the article on the Japanese market shortage of bikes in 2011, it was a bit sad. So, after going to bed, sometime during the wee hours of the night I had a Dream!!!!
There were a bunch of us sitting around in a circle at a dealership who had ordered the Tenere. This meeting was about our deliveries. Someone handed us each a multi-layered carbon copy type order sheet with our name on it, when we ordered it, and a list of any of the accessories we wanted. I remember the paper was red in color with red Yamaha on the top. In the middle along with our names it had the V.I. N. number each of us would be getting, and then the grand finally, the delivery date. Some said November as the latest, others were spread out. Some in July, some in Aug, and many in November. I felt really stoked, that Yamaha had a V.I.N. allocated to my name.

Then, in walked my dad, with my step mom in tow!! I could hear her saying to him, go on Mark, put down the $500 bucks you know you want to!!!

That was all i could remember, or actually dreamed of!!! It is something to keep my mind focused on the prize in the end i guess.

Then the other dream was meeting up with a 5th grade girl i had a crush on!!! Wierd night sleeping!!!!

Tomorrow won't work since our dealers are closed on Mondays. Even my birthday will be a problem as it falls on a Sunday (Aug 28th).
But about any other day in August will be just fine!!!!

Not dreaming this one, I got the letter from Yamaha Canada today saying deliveries start towards the end of July and should be complete by August 30, about a month behind schedule. They will also inform me by e-mail when any information becomes available.

I got my letter on Friday. Don’t know if I am reading it right, This is part of the letter. If for any reason Yamaha cannot deliver your 2012 Super tenere Early Deposit UNIT by August 31 ,2011, we will reimburse your $500 deposit, plus we will provide a $100 Yamahabuck certificate

My dream just went from a good dream, to a really bad dream. Actually, i think i am a little pissed!!!! How many Tenere's are sold in Canada compared to the USA, and they get them first!!!!! Where's my decal that has WTF on it???

I read somewhere that one of the problems with the U.S. spec bike was the supplier of the dash.
Since the Canadian bikes have a metric dash, maybe their units dont have that parts supply issue they can be delivered before the U.S. bikes, makes since to me.

Ah yes - that is very good news and hopefully that means that ours will not be too far behind!!
