Just received word that my January 5 order is scheduled for July. Not that that couldn't change.

I am starting to sense that there have been a lot of cancellations going on since there seems to be quite a bit of July deliveries that were ordered late in the program. Still does not explain my July delivery and my Sept. 8th order date. What ever is going on it is not going to make me cancel my order. I am in it to the day it gets here when ever that may be. If it shows up in june I will be happy.

If there is a significant delay, Yamaha should start paying interest on all of our $500 loans...they've already had mine for over 6 months.

That has to be the most inane sentence I have read since the earthquake. Obviously written by an individual who has never experienced any discomfort. If I had the money, I would give you the $500 to leave and go buy something else.

I was just contacted by my dealership telling me the delivery has been pulled in from July to June. I told him I was a bit surprised, due the recent events. He stated that he was a bit surprised also, but that what he has been told....hmmmm....don't get it.... :-[

He also stated that it has been near to impossible getting some motorcycle replacement parts.

Damn, If they start coming early, I might be able to take my new bike on my summer trip in July.

Ron...that is perhaps thee most selfish statement I've heard anywhere since this devastation happened.
You, my friend, need to check your pulse and keep the most important things the most important things.
People dying and displaced with no water and food or heat and you're worried about a handful of nickels for your $500 down-payment...incredible.!
I'm done... :-X

I didn't order 'til mid December. I was honestly expecting August or September, so I wasn't bothering the dealership. When he called I was pretty surprised, but I know they are only a few hundred miles from a major port (Seattle). I'm still not confident the guy knows what he's talking about, but he looked it up while I was on the phone, and told me it moved from July to June.

My plan is working. I bought another farkle today. I'll have so much stuff to put on this bike, I can't possibly even think about cancelling. What a great plan. I have panniers and the windshield thingy from Australia on the way even as I type, and I already have the Give plate to accept my current 46 L top box. Heh heh.

I think this first run bike is gonna be a collector's item. Who doesn't want one of those? Whenever it gets here, it will be welcomed with cracked pavement and dusty gravel. Only the best for this boy. R

Are you being cruel? Are you messing with me ??? KIDDING .... No, got a ways to go yet but we are FINALLY into plus temps late in the day. The snow goes very quickly up here. It is so dry (semi-arid) that the snow basically evaporates before it melts. Very little water in the streets. By this time next week, there will be some bikes on the road. Still freezing hard at night, but getting there.

I started chipping the path in my 300 foot driveway today. By late next week, I should be able to make the road. Just about right. OH, the things the dedicated biker does sometimes. Thanks for asking. We had an unusually large amount of snow this year. Bummer. R

No, just thought it would give you some time to install the farkles. Glad your digging your way out. Bike will be sooner than you know it. ;D

I think you may be right about that. I put the battery back in my ST1300 this afternoon and cranked 'er up. I had to lay on the starter for nearly two seconds before it fired up. They just don't make stuff the way they used to. I LOVE my Honda. Gonna LOVE my Yamahog, too. I'm highly motivated. I'm working this weekend, so I'll attack the driveway with vigor come Monday.

I have to take my ice chisels in for sharpening tomorrow. Fins to the bone. R

That plan has been working for me as well. Last items I received were my Solo Prime lights and they took their place in the growing stockpile of SuperT Farkles in my stable. I still need to order a couple Powerlet sockets for my HDB clamp and deicide for sure/order my J&M setup. :D

Damn right !! Is it too early to place an order for a second Tenere??

I'll just run that past the wife.

Yeah, it's a little too early. Just a thought.

Well, I'm off to generate Tenere revenue. No rest for the motivated biker. You guys have a good Saturday. Fins to the bone. R

California is a long way from Oklahoma. If you can swing an early delivery date ST to Oklahoma City as a trade, yell. :)
