Delayed Delivery Letter and Order Date

I'd like to see a list of those who have received an "official letter from Yamaha" (not the dealer) regarding a delay in YOUR order.

I ordered on 10/16/2010 have not receieved word from my dealer or a letter from Yamaha stating my order will be delayed.
I would like to see if there is a cutoff date that is effecting some orders but not all.

If you received an "offical letter from Yamaha" stating your delivery will be late and/or an offer to refund your deposit, post it here along with the date you placed your order.

I gave my dealer the check on Nov 3, but don't think he posted until Nov 13. I received my letter today.

It said the same thing we read in the letter that was sent to dealers on April 20, they expect to finish deliveries of Super Tenere PDP orders by Nov 30, 2011. You have until May 31 to cancel and get a refund of deposit. The letters to customers are dated April 25, 2011.

when my dealer called to give the good news, he faxed me a copy of the letter Yamaha is going to be sending out to all of us, or some of us, or none of us!!!

Apparently Yamaha Canada has been totally silent on this. According to my dealer, Yamaha Canada is supposed to make an "official" announcement this week sometime. I know the sales manager well, and he has assured me that he will let me know just as soon as he hears something from YC. Hide and watch for now. His rep was not even aware of the delay letter that went out from Yamaha U. S. R

Same situation. Ordered March 30, 2011, received the same letter today

Ordered Jan 16th, received a letter attached to an email from my dealer they day he received it on April 21. He also called me first thing that morning...this was a couple of weeks ago when everyone else got a dealer letter.

I would have to say, my commitment to buy is with my dealer, not with Yamaha Corporation. I wouldn't expect to hear anything from them.

I received my letter from Yamaha dated April 25, today. You have till May 31st to go to the dealer where you ordered and cancel your order.

I received the official Yamaha letter today.........ordered the bike in late February.
