Can't figure out if this pro or anti super tenere. Is it still an adventure if nothing goes wrong is what they ask ..HUH? :-\
I took that as a slight back hand at some other Adventure bikes. I do think they like it though.

I don't think they could come right and and say it directly could they?
I have only ever seen two reviews question BMW's "legendary reliability".

How many years before it's not a phase BMW are going through?

I think that that is a very fair, positive and pretty balanced review. Cycle World has always liked the ST. They made it Adventure Bike of the year in 2012. The Beemer is a nice bike, as well. Just a little Germanic over-engineering and not quite the Japanesesque reliability. I love the subtitle on the e-verison of the article. It says it all. ::022::

+1... CW has been very pro S10. The subject was the improvements on the BMW and NOT reliability. Let's wait for the new improved S10 and see if they can beat the new benchmark.

Do you guys read Motorcycle Consumer News? Hey are ad-free so that doesn't play the role in their writing as mentioned for other magazines. However, they aren't in a financial position to purchase all their test bikes so manufacturer availability could have some influence I suppose.

Their opinion of the newest BMWs has been favorable in general, but they recently blasted the R800gs Adventure for being a waste of money when the R1200gs is only a bit more $ and outperforms it handily.

Anyway, nice to hear that motorcycle.com is riddled with BS along with the print mags!
