This has been brought up before. The problem is, what are we counting down to (date)? I wouldn't want this to be anticlimactic. "Three, two, ONE, hooorraaaay!! Uh, hey Venture, where are the bikes?"

Yeah, I think that is Yamaha's strategy with telling us all will be delivered by Au. 31. If we get ours on Aug 30, we'll say they did good.

Under promise and over deliver.

I still want mine by my birthday of July 17, BTW.

I tell people, "delayed gratification" is a good thing. Teaches you patience and control. Reality is, every time I buy a bike I make the dealer prep and deliver immediately, of course they don't seem to mind

I've never waited for a motorcycle like this, the up side is savoring the purchase is something we'll all remember.

IMHO Yamaha will deliver "on time" or August. (They learned from the FJ)

I need to invest some money somewhere, I can't decide if it should be in a company that makes nitro pills or Depends under garments. Be cause some of us will either have a heart attach or piss our pants when the dealer calls and says they are here.
