A customer from the Netherlands (may be an inmate here) sent me these pics of his shiny new "WHITE" ride today.
Apparently this is the "competition white Expolrer Edition that isn’t available outside of The Netherlands"..

The Explorer Edition is developed by the Yamaha importer in The Netherlands.
It comes with the following extras:
Special seatcover with embroiled Explorer logo and individual 4 level heating
Grip heating
Touring screen
Protection bars and fog lights
Wind deflectors
Bellypan
Headlight protection
All 3 panniers including inner bags
Cardo Zumo 660
Cardo Q2 XL communication
Yamaha YES-8 batterycharger

Lucky bastard..

Anyway. It seems like he did not have the bike long before the farkles started, as is generally the case.
I love the look of the red decal kit on this bike and I thank our Netherlandien? friend Kees for the pics.

Greg.

Some pics straight after it was picked up:

And some pics after installing the windscreen adjuster kit (along with modified mount for Zumo attachment) + heated grip mount + the flash new red decal kit... Add's a great look to an otherwise large baron white tank.

Thanks again Kees.

Very nice. Are those fork guards integrated into the fender?

Great looking bike! I am surprised how much I like the red Yamaha "tape" on the white. I wonder how much a custom paint job would run...

Maybert, The red decals like (both Wasp and Yamaha versions) have been used on many Yamaha XT bikes over the years. It may have been larger block sections, but still used. Here is some candy!!!

SO, since this is the primary forum for us here in the USA while waiting on the Tenere, maybe we could all petition to have them offer to us a white bike here. Just for us only on the forum. Hmmm, interesting.

Hello there! I'm the lucky bastard (according to Greg) owning the competition white Super Ténéré Explorer.

And I must admit I am a very happy and proud owner of that beauty. Thank you all for your compliments, glad you like the looks of her too.

This indeed is a "full options" model with some extra's that are unique in the world like the Explorer seat, (the materials at the side have a matt/shiny imprint, comes in two tone silver/black colour and has the text Explorer embroided), and comes with a 4 level individual heating for rider and passenger. The Explorer model is exclusive for The Netherlands and an idea from the Yamaha Europe importer which is located in The Netherlands.

The screenadjuster that Greg made is also a very nice and practical addition and does a great job in deflecting the wind.

And yes the fork guards are integrated into the fender (this is the standard fender here).

I've added a picture that shows the seat meterials a bit better.

I understand some of you are waiting a long time already for the ST, but believe me, it's worth the wait!

Greetings from a sunny The Netherlands! :)
