Competition White for the US

I really love the Competition White. I have a blue on order and even tho I like it, the Competition White really grabs me. A few months back, I called Yamaha's Customer Service Department and expressed my desire for the Competition White to become available in the US. With the delay of the US bikes until November, I think that this is the perfect time to let Yamaha know about my desire for this color. I posted a note on their facebook page. If anybody else is interested in this color, please let Yamaha know about it. Maybe it is not too late to make this color available.

I was thinking of the white, but I'll probably collect the few parts that are actually painted. Get them painted the competition white color and switch them out down the road.

It surprises me that they did not offer that in the letters. Just to show they cared and to keep people from canceling their order.
Two people on this board have said they are canceling. That is just here, I wonder what it will be nation wide.

I think this will be the changing point in many peoples minds, Triumph has an outstanding line up this year as well.

i too think i would pick the white over the black or blue. I mean it is the color of alot of previous Yamaha XT's here in the states. White and red!!!! The red Wasp decals would look really good on it too!!!!

Another white fan here. Yamaha would be well-advised to be pro-active during this delay to try and drum up continued interest and adding another color choice would be good. OTOH, perhaps they've contracted with their suppliers already and swapping paints at this point is a no go and would only make schedules more uncertain.

Off subject, but if I were Yamaha at this point the key thing I would offer to keep PDP waiters around is to make all PDP deposits refundable right up to delivery. To put people under a schedule gun to make a decision to go or stay when you're having trouble adhering to schedules yourself just rubs folks the wrong way and polarizes the situation.

You can't get white Rem, you would never find the Tenere up there in all that snow. )
