Hi, guys. It's getting closer to Summer and our gathering in Colorado. IMO communications during event of this size is very important. What are we going to use? Any ideas?

What if there were some way to leave messages somewhere where everyone could see them, somewhere centrally located....

A message board or something

But how would people access such a thing?

On a serious note though, having never been to a rally like this, does someone make name tags or something?

And do they have people's avatar images on them, or is it just a meet and greet/intro yourself type deal?

I think name tags are a good idea.

I'll tell you what the guys in Whitehorse did last year to coordinate rides, etc. They had a meeting place behind Yukon Yamaha with a simple low tech whiteboard on which anyone could post ride ideas, timing, etc. You can see the board on the left of the following picture. The also had tourism pamphlets and all the info anyone needed on the local area.

Usually it was meet up at 9:00 in the morning, shoot the breeze, get into groups or do your own thing. Maybe something similar could be done at the KOA campground?
I know it looks like there will be more riders in Ouray, so it could get complicated ... but low tech riders like me need simple solutions. ::003::

I would be willing to have some kind of message board at my campsite. Post notes on the garage of my trailer with blue tape? Whiteboard propped up by the wheel well?

I meant THIS board.....

But it probably doesn't hurt to have more than one place, with one being on the ground at the location.
