I saw an update that they had reopened Phantom-Canyon Rd.

I know we've had lots and lots of rain almost every afternoon, so I've been kinda looking for a decent window in the forecasts to get out to ride this.
It looks like this weekend is supposed to be drier weather, so I'd like to get this moving forward.
I have three days off : Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. June 17th-18TH-19TH
I also know Sunday is "Father's Day" and lots of people usually already have plans, but I'm open for any of the three days to get out and ride this.
Saturday is supposed to be cooler weather than either of the other two days, with a "Mostly Cloudy" forecast..........

Let me know if you guys still want to join me, and which day would be best to go?
Post up here, and I'll keep tabs on this.
In the meantime I'll consult with my neighbor on the Vstrom to see which day would work better.

What about Monday?

If you can't go this weekend, I'm sure we can ride it again or another route as well. I can usually go any weekend.
I've been anxiously waiting for it to dry out around here. I know we need the rain, but we've been washed-out for 2 solid moths!

I heard back from my neighbor with the Vstrom.
He said either Saturday or Monday would work for him.
Monday is supposed to be sunnier and warmer. I'm open for either day.

What does your schedule look like?
Can you ride with us this coming Monday?
I would have to take a vacation day which is fine but suddenly I have no fluid in rear brake reservoir and therefore no rear brake. I'll be looking into it Saturday. If I have time I'll look at it tonight and let you know tomorrow.

If you need a helping-hand I could swing by?
I could even come by this evening if needed.
Let me know.

If this rear brake issue is something that can be sorted this weekend, can you take a vacation-day on Monday and ride with us?

That's what I'm hoping to figure out tonight. I may need parts, tubing etc But yeah I'll go Monday if I can fix it. I've never bled an ABS module but read how on the forum. Have the Mitey Vac and jumper wire.

If you want to come by that would be great but hopefully I can figure it out tonight.

So you're going to postpone for a couple weeks? If so that works for me too.

Not postpone. We'll plan on riding Monday, the loop I posted.
My neighbor is on board, and I think @Reno is in.
I'll ride again in a couple weeks with Paul also.

I can come by and give you a hand with your brakes. This evening might not work, I have to take my youngest boy to his friend's house in Denver at 5pm for a sleep-over.
I've got tomorrow evening mostly free, and Saturday all-day.

I'll send you a PM.

There will be (3) of us riding this loop on Monday the 19th.
We are all riding from the Denver-area.

In case anyone else wants to join us, the Denver-area meeting place is at 8:00am at the Morrison-exit off C-470.
There is a Gas-Station there (Phillips-66 I believe)

From there we'll ride the backroads through Deckers and Woodland Park.
We will stop at Rudy's on Hwy-24 at 10:00am in Colorado-Springs

We'll ride the loops I posted from there.
Stop for lunch at "Bunk House Burgers" in Canon-City (They also have Chicken and Fish sandwiches if you don't want Beef)
https://www.bhburgers.com/

Return via Phantom Canyon Rd, and then return to Denver-area through Woodland Park, Deckers, and Sedalia.

Had a great Ride!
Started out in Morrison with 4 riders (Reno, Sparko, my neighbor Tim, and Myself)

Once we arrived in Deckers, Sparko had a Family-Matter and had to turn back for Home.

The remaining 3 of us continued on to Rudy's, where we had a short break and a snack.

Next we rode Gold Camp Rd, and Old Stage Rd and stopped at the Mine Overlook near Cripple Creek.

The day was already getting away from us by the time we arrived here, so we decided to eat lunch at "The Creek" Cafe in Cripple Creek (Awesome Rueben Sandwiches by the way).
From there we skipped the remainder of the planned loop to save it for another day, and headed north towards Home.

It was great riding with you guys, and look forward to more rides in the future.

260-miles round-trip for Tim and I.

Will take me some time to go through and edit all the GoPro and Insta-360 footage into a presentable Video, but I'll get one made.
