FWIW, I did the upgrade. I replaced the 2012 basket with the 2014+ basket and while I was in there I also replaced the clutch plates with Barnett plates and the stock pressure plate with the Barnett version. I ended up going with the middleweight springs.

Just took it on a long test ride and so far it feels great. The reduction in clutch basket vibration is pretty amazing. It was always noticeable, but there was more vibration there than I realized. Gone. Also, the lever feel is very good. The response feels more linear. Prior to the swap when I released the lever, the first third of travel from the grip outward was essentially dead space. Then the clutch disengagement happened in a fairly short travel distance, and then there was more dead space as the lever was fully released. Now the response is a more constant across a much larger part of the lever travel, if that makes sense. Easy to feel, hard to describe with words.
Anyway, I’m very pleased with the changes and thank you again to everybody who’s posted information in this thread.
