Clearance issue with Hepco-Becker skidplate touching exhaust header?

Just found this thread today. I had my plate off to remove oil for valve check and found some underbody sound deadener spray laying around. Actually stopped the resonance oil canning noise and looks much better! I have been offroad in lots of rocks, never highcentered but it has taken lots of heavy hits and no damage.

I used spray can by Dupli_Color Underbody with sound deadener. Like this, but I bought mine at Advance Auto: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/shw-uc102/overview/

Looks good, Tiger one. However, if I did that with the header touching the plate as mine is, it would probably just melt the material where it contacts. I can live with a little 'ringing' from a skidplate, but the ringing is in a whole different league when the skidplate is contacting the header, so your modification is something that would only be relevant to me after I get the clearance issue resolved. BTW, have you checked to see how close the plate is to the header underneath the sump? Just curious...

Plenty of room, nothing touching, maybe your rear mount is off some.
