May work...at least it will slow down the snatch if you're refuelling .....
Not much weight to it, so I hope there will be no adverse effects. Stops the release button from operating.

Ah yes, security for your nav. Over here sat nav's are left in cars, on motorcycles over night. People just don't bother stealing stuff like that here, I forget how fortunate we are to be in Switzerland (especially as a speeding fine dropped in the mail today for 650Chf!! ::010::) Still,, I guess that's the price I pay.....

650Chf, WOW, how fast were you going?
Oh they like to stick it to you here, I went to overtake and got zapped by a hidden laser and 300 meters ahead got a cop waving me into a layby. I was doing 104km in an 80km zone, about 16 mph over the limit during the overtake. At least they are honest about it here, just want the cash, no points on license. 1km more and the fine would have been 2% of household income and a months ban......

Think I would rather worry about my satnav being nicked ;) I think I would be spending a lot of time in jail if I lived in Switzerland :D

Switzerland is by far, a paradise....but you will have to pay big bucks to enjoy it. :)

Zurich is one of my favorite cities...no graffiti and no broken car windows to be found.

I wasn't that fond of Geneva...it was nice but doesn't make me want to go back.

But I digress...good idea OP!

I would suggest it as a deterrent rather a security aspect, as 1) Sat nav's are getting less expensive so the theft risk is lower, 2) it would be stolen by an opportunist thief, so anything, even a nut and bolt would suffice.

That's the way I see it.... It will stop the casual thief lifting it off the cradle when you've gone in to pay for fuel..... wouldn't want to leave it on when going into the services for food and drink though ::008::

Well.. I weighed the lock in the above pic... 32 grammes....

So the second attempt is this one weighing in at 14 grammes... and as it is red it's easy to see there's a lock on it ;)
