Quick intro. Dave from Sharkskinz Racing Bodies. We primarly manufacture roadracing bodywork. I bought a Super T so we are making a few bits and pieces for my bike. Will be offering some of these here. Currently won't be on our site so if your interested you can order at 800-519-7229. First parts available are carbon replacement heel guards. Price is $75 plus $5.95 shipping to lower 48.

Dont take this wrong, but the left side guard really needs an "over and over" flap which closes off the top of the guard. The stock guard is a freaking hazard if you ask me as it is way too easy to snag a pant cuff over the top of the guard and between the frame. When you go to put your foot down, you're hooked and a good chance at a tip over occurs. I went with the Alt Rider guard almost immediately but have since modified that guard to make in into a guard, exhaust shield as I no longer run the passenger pegs or ugly brackets.

Carbon is cool, but I just wish it had a cover across the top too. For some reason, I have yet to snag my pant cuff on the right side stock guard.

YamaPA is right I have the Touratech heel guard and it is worse than the stock guard, I have almost dumped the bike a few times snagging my pant leg on the frigign thing. I will be changing it to the AltRider.

Re: Carban fiber heel guards

Made a master for new left guard today. Extended top almost to frame. Front edge behind shift rod. No way pants getting behind it now. Will have pictures of finished part later this week. So now it will be lighter than OEm, have less tendency to catch pant leg and add a little bling. What's not to like?

Any chance of redesigning the "cranes neck" looking brake lever from carbon fiber? Would be an incredible upgrade in appearance.

I'll get you a picture when I can (having some issues transfering photos to computer). I have the ALT rider aluminumn guard to which I welded an extension to guard against pant burns on the exhaust pipe before the muffler. Pretty simply modification and works great. Got ride of the Fugly passenger pegs and the truly fugly left side passenger peg/guard area.

Somene...hello TABASCO may wish to make this as product to sell. I get 5% royalties for the idea though.
