Camping with a CPAP

I have been camping and pulling stakes every day for the last two weeks on a 4,619 ride. What made this possible is a battery bank I picked up on Amazon for $172 USD. I also had to purchase the adapter for my CPAP separately from Amazon for an additional $35 USD. I installed a USB charger under the saddle. From the charger, I run a USB to USB-C cable up to my tank bag where I keep and top off the power bank while riding. Due to the slow charging, after a week I did have to find a power outlet at one of the campsite after a week to charge the battery to full. That's not bad for two weeks of sleeping in a tent with a CPAP. The thing is, after a full days ride, I was also charging my Cardo intercom with it before calling it a day. For my next trip I may bring my smaller battery pack to charge the Cardo. The slow charging off the USB to C should keep up then.

The unit I purchased is the Renogy 72000mAh Power Bank.

And on a somewhat similar note: I saw on the news today that a guy's CPAP saved his life. Apparently, during a drive-by shooting, one round went through the wall and the CPAP caught it. It was directly between the bullet hole and his head.

During the interview, he said he only woke up because the machine stopped. He never heard the shot.

Every time I see CPAP, I see CRAP. Which of course causes me to take a second glance.
