I'm fat and happy. The wife is genetically thin. (lucky)
And we pack the Beast to the hilt when we go looking for adventure. (camping gear included)

The bike has never complained, other than the rear spring being cranked to max is still not enough to get the proper sag.

Easiest fix, (I'm not gonna punish my palate. Call me anything you like. :) is a beefier spring. And Tabasco makes a very nice spacer to accommodate the loss in .39 inches of spring length that the aftermarket spring lacks.

I ride 2-up enough that tuning the bike for it is worth it.

This is the most amazing 2-up adventure bike. I am more convinced every day.

Lets be honest here, the S10 at ~585 lbs or so without accessories will never be a light bike. Sure a lithium battery and exhaust may negate the addition of a set of panniers but you still have the weight of the crash bars, skid plate and all the other crap we can't live without. With panniers and all I can still make my way comfortably up a rough road and drag my toes in the twisties and I am happy with that. If you are looking for something to wrestle through mud bogs and boulder fields you bought the wrong bike. Just accept that she is pleasantly plus sized and beautiful!
