Bike Bandit bankruptcy

Came across this article and Bike Bandit's bankruptcy. I know I haven't bought from them recently, but others may not be so lucky. Sounds like some shady stuff. Hopefully some of the customers get their money back.

About 6-8 months ago I bought a tire. It felt like a total scam. I just called my CC company to get the money back.
After my ordeal I’m not surprised at all.

I ordered a front fender from Babbitts online. I found one a few minutes later about $50 cheaper and called and cancelled it. About 3 weeks later. I was notified it was shipped. I had to return it with about $20 shipping and a trip to the friggin post office. They said they would give me a break on the 15% restocking fee. What a load of crap. I boycott babbitts now

I never bought from them, mainly because just about every time their name was mentioned in a motorcycle forum, some members would report a bad experience with them. The nature of the complaints (incorrect items being shipped, difficult refunds, restocking fees, and piss poor customer service and communication) always made me steer clear. They always sounded shady. Their bankruptcy filing seems to follow that same business model, especially how they defrauded customers out of $646,000 by continuing to take orders when they had no ability to fulfill them.
