Not only that but there is the bottom line for everyone... the price point.IMO, Yamaha has the perfect balance of cool features that the average rider can really enjoy and get use out of for everyday riding. My biggest wish for the Gen 3 would be upgraded suspension and brakes (steel braided lines and upgraded MC's), and a button to easily shut off just the rear brake ABS. Other than that, BNG is fine by me.
I often mention it when talking about this but a ES Tenere is 18k in Canada. A loaded GS Adventure is 32k... and i', sure there is room for more option. A base GS with ES and luggage is pushing 26k I think.
That's a whole lots of $$$$$ and while the GS are great bikes, the price difference is just not worth it for me and many.
While not many are familiar with the Tenere, there is still a Yamaha dealer in most large cities. In Canada, there aint that many BMW dealers when you leave the major urban areas(Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto).
