The rain started last night melting the snow! It’ll be a little messy for a while but we have mostly sandy soils so it not like Georgia where any rain turns the clay into a snotty to gumbo like consistency.
Spring is just around the corner!



EDIT: I might add that the frost has pushed down over 50" under our roadways/ plowed area's that get a lot of traffic. We had a lot of cold weather before we got snow this year so the ground frost is deeper than normal everywhere meaning the water will tend to run to low areas, over the banks on streams, rivers and lakes. Even if we get no more snow we are in for a mess is the low lying areas, luckily my house(w/ basement) is in a high and dry area, our whole county (Chippewa) is under a flood watch.
One positive of this flood watch is that the snow is melting...
