I’ve lived in Georgia (85-92) and New Orleans, I acclimatized to Georgia but could only stand ‘nawlins for a year before I moved out to Washington state. This winter has been long because I picked up my S10 just at first snow and it has been in storage ever since! Come on spring!

The rain started last night melting the snow! It’ll be a little messy for a while but we have mostly sandy soils so it not like Georgia where any rain turns the clay into a snotty to gumbo like consistency.
Spring is just around the corner!
EDIT: I might add that the frost has pushed down over 50" under our roadways/ plowed area's that get a lot of traffic. We had a lot of cold weather before we got snow this year so the ground frost is deeper than normal everywhere meaning the water will tend to run to low areas, over the banks on streams, rivers and lakes. Even if we get no more snow we are in for a mess is the low lying areas, luckily my house(w/ basement) is in a high and dry area, our whole county (Chippewa) is under a flood watch.
One positive of this flood watch is that the snow is melting...

I drove from Vegas to Orlando for work for the next few weeks...it was cloudy and drizzly all the way from Lordsburg NM to Mobile AL! I was happy to finally see the sun when I hit the panhandle this morning!

Party pooper!! I was just starting to enjoy this @#%$! OTOH, I enjoy other forms of self abuse...

I am still wondering how I missed the offramp in Vegas 30 years ago

We had a nice day of melting snow, temp was 44 wonderful degrees and with a clear sky a full dose of the suns goodness!
I ran into a couple of m/c buddies and plans were made for a ride as soon as the roads are completely clear!

Come on down, plenty of sunshine and great roads! Go back with a sun tan, and good stories.
Austin for Moto GP. Alas instead of Hill Country we are going to Arkansas to ride the Ozarks after the races. We camp at the track and unless we decide to go downtown for the bike night we wont ride. It is just easier to stay right at the track and not bother with the in and out.

Maybe next year, we are due to ride the Hill Country again.
