Would you make another one & send to NC? My wife is no longer able to ride & I would love to mount a top case where the passenger seat is currently located.
Unfortunately life got busy for me at the current moment. I'm struggling to find time to ride.

Just wanted to Share my Solution to the pinion rack. I’m new to the S10, liked the look and was disappointed the pillion rack seemed to be no longer available.

I ordered a Tail Rack off Amazon for a dr650 ($80). Cut the tabs off with a dremel and then ordered a pillion seat off one of the parts sites, Got mine for $150 but they range from there to $200. Took the Seat Cover and Padding Off, Painted the Seat pan Black, and mounted the Dr650 Tail Rack to the Seat Pan. Maybe better options for the rack but it Mounts just like the Pillion seat. Also, the pillion seat cover was just held on my staples and the padding on mine was not glued so if your careful it would be possible to just modify your existing pillion seat and is you decided you wanted the seat again, it should be possible to convert it back. That Saves ¾ the cost. I bought the second seat, as Its Easy to swap them out. The pick is
how it looks with an AltRider tail rack in the low position.
Do you think it would be possible to do the mods you did to the DR650 rack and then bolt it onto the block that MamaYama provides under the pillion seat?

I took my seat off, and also removed the OEM rear rack, replacing it with a flat plate from Happy Trails that cost about $80 (I think). Makes it so easy to just strap down a dry bag and go, with the bonus that it lowers the height overall. Works for me. :D

Was reading through not satified with my current setup or parts availability.

Started taking things apart and figured out there is a threaded hole hidden behind a rubber grommet on the tail. What do you know... we had a flat cargo deck the whole time.

Not sure if i have posted this before but this is what i did to use all the space above the rear light. Its sat on an altrider plate turned up the other way. The top plate is for my Ardcases Top Box. Everything else is aliminium angle 3×2 inch. Was quite easy to do. I have my electric pump, plugging kit, pressure gague and some basic tools like an adjustable wrench for resetting the mirrors ect. The top box i use is not big so you get less drag and i can put my shoei neotec and get my riding jacket gloves in there. When riding its on all the time. I have modded the topbox with a big handle to make moving the bike alot easier its very sturdy all welded top box no real weak points.20240919_130504_HDR.jpg20240919_130453_HDR~2.jpg20240919_125348_HDR~3.jpg

I have a similar set up on my bike, but I swapped the rear rack, for a Yamaha short rack, which was an original Yamaha part, and then a cheap Ebay BMW GS aluminium luggage rack covers the both with plenty of lashing points and provides a harder surface.

just taken some more photos as I was in my workshop which show it better, and you can see how short the black "short rack" is underneath, means it doesn't stick out over the tail light too far, and i always have enough luggage space even for long 2 week trips etc

That's my only only gripe with having it low. It almost blocks it for taller vehicles. That's interesting I will have to source one.

That's plenty of space for one rider! Love this.

That looks like a great solution and probably good value compared to the altrider gear which breaks anyway.

Confusing pics. I like the idea tho! The altrider plate is heavy and creates alot of deadspace. Prob sell mine.
