I can only say: she's a keeper! Serious respect that she muscles that loaded bike around. Good to see i get part of my question answered also.

My wife has always liked bikes. Back in the day, I discovered that she had been taking my FJ on joy rides while I was out to sea. She never had the urge to get her own license, or bike. We tried getting her to ride the KLR, but she didn't like it; too tall, and heavy. I reminded her of her time on the FJ. She replied she was a mother now. o_O I found her a TW 200. She fell in love with it. When we first got it, she put 77 miles on it . . . . in our yard. . . . which is only an acre. She came in one day, and said it stopped running; ran it out of gas. She's ridden it on the road one time. We rode to breakfast about three miles away. I rode behind her in case of traffic. She'll only do about 45mph max on the road, so she's probably just going to stick to the yard.

Of course our boys grew up, and got their bikes. Their significant others also like bikes, so the cycle will continue.

I don't think DM was ever a member here. She posted once or twice over on trooper in her V-Strom days but that was about it.

She was always amused when I'd tell her about something humorous going on here, but never showed any interest in joining the fray. Just not her thing.

<<deleted my thoughts on the differences between men and women which might have explained why so few are member here...I'm sure I'm wrong>>

Yep, DM did that while I cleared the driveway. Very hard work.

We just installed that fence last weekend. She was very instrumental in that one, too. Things I do when not riding the SAS.

When I still had my Fat Bob, I was member of a Fat Bob forum group. The toxic masculinity, sexism (some women who dared to show up to meetings and stand up for themselves were downright bullied) and racism drove me away from that crowd. (In hindsight, many of that particular Harley group seemed to have gotten the bike to get away from their wives.) Now I'm in a club where membership is not based on the model of motorcycle one rides but on whether you fit in with the rest of us, and then it does not matter what your junk looks like or where you like to put it.

The women in our club are every bit as capable riders as the blokes. It seems to be the case, though, and now I'm on-topic again, that they are less interested in playing numbers games, farkling, and wrenching. And that might explain why women on the whole might be less interested in joining a forum where all that is what constitutes the majority of topics discussed.
