H is rated to 130mph, V is rated to 149mph. Has to do with how the tire heats up at higher speeds. If you're worried about whether H rated tires are manly enough, let me note that the K60s that are so beloved by the hardcore guys are T rated, which is (only) 118mph. I wouldn't sweat it. Get what you like in whatever rating is available.
My concern is about tire wear and traction. As for speed, 85 MPH is good for me. Anything more than that and you are just showing off ;)

I had a set of Anakee 2's on my 955i Tiger and I hated them. I thought they were very slippery in the wet and inspired no confidence in the twisties. I would never buy them again. Personally I'm liking the stock Battlewings alot, I'll take a little lower milege tire that I'm comfortable with any day.

Okay, then all the Anakee tests I've ever read were wrong and three of my friends who know and like the Anakees' performance in the wet are wrong. I'm lucky that I didn't have to ride them in the wet myself yet.

Oh, and since the Tiger 955 is exactly the same bike as the S10, then my own experience that the Anakees harmonize very well with my bike must have been delusional. ;)

That's why when it comes to comparing ANY tire on ANY forum, it's always better to include "YMMV"

;D

As far as tyres go I had to get used the Anakees after the Road2 rear I had. But as you go down the Space/tread ratio and up in the tread depth you get that "not as accurate" feeling. The extreme end is extreme knobbies and that's why the S10 is fitted with really good traction control. So each to their own. It's just that the Anakees were way more dirt / gravel friendly that the road tyres. Unfortunately the tougher the tread, the harder the tread the less tread, the the more slippery the tread on tarmac.

I also find that sometimes manufacturers don;t use the same compounds across countries of manufacture which can really mess with peoples minds.

I was mighty impressed with the Road 2's until I hit "non tarmac". Then it was a wandery wandering world.

Jeez ,all I did was give an opinion of a tire i've used ,sorry I don't agree with all 3 of your friends.

What does YMMV mean?

I'm only speaking for myself here...one of the reason I ran Anakee for the last several years is because they are so good in the rain. I really liked the tire all around until the S10 started putting me in more and more off pavement situations.
