Got home this evening from my daily travels, and this is what I saw on my dash panel... Owned it 361 days as of this afternoon. It just gets better and better with each and every mile! ::008::

Like I've said before... Best bike I've ever owned.

Oh, I blew through 20,000 miles early this morning on the way across the bay. It's closer to 20,200 now, and will probably crack 20,500 miles before the weeks out! ::001::

But damn, gotta' spend all day tomorrow, Aug. 1, in the "Cage" (either the car or the truck), but come Thursday, Friday, and the weekend I'll be back in the saddle! ::26::

However, just for the record...

I have to admit, it's an illusion. At 18 weeks I only had a little over 6K. I took that picture on our return from Newfoundland. Pretty easy to up your average when you do more than 4500 in a two week period. With that trip behind me I'll be returning to my regular pace.

I'm much more impressed with Dirt Mom putting over 8,500 miles on her Tenere in her first 20 weeks. That's way faster than I put that number of miles on the bike...and she's already broken her highest annual total for any other bike.

These Teneres demand to be ridden.

Mine had its first birthday on Friday the 2nd - sad to say only 10,800 miles. That's about 5k less than my usual average, but in my defense I put a couple of thousand on the Vee, and I usually do at least one 4-6k trip a year... but not this one. I cut out the big trip this year in order to save money for the BIG trip Off to British Colombia in a couple of weeks before turning south. Should more than make up for the lack of miles this year eh?
