Hey Ricochet, I just wanted to throw in my two cents worth here. When riding and this really applies to anything but especially on the loose gravel and stones that you describe. A little more speed helps but as some have commented here already, very relaxed, gentle movements, let the bike move around a little its normal and actually fun! but the secret is really just relax and no big or quick sharp movements. As I tell my kid whose learning to drive right now, BE SMOOTH...every thing is better when smooth, especially riding the loose gravel roads. I just got my S10 and it still has the stock bridgestones on, I've ridden a hundred miles of gravel and silty roads. I know exactly how you feel when encountering that for the first time.. I had grown up riding dirt and gravel roads down east and five minutes into my first gravel road on the S10, I said to myself, and I knew it was me cause I recognized my voice....LOL just relax and ride it like its a big dirt bike. But relax and let it move around! you'll be fine. I tend to sit a little further forward on the real loose gravel and only stand when it get rough. but relax and enjoy is the secret.....relax be smooth and no big movements ,,,,have I said that enough...sorry for the repeating but it works .....

LOL - Never get in the way of Trike with his little 10" folding saw!

Great host and leader who is the subject of one of my favorite photos from those days, doing skid plate tests and showing what the big girl can do.

HA!! Once a poser always a poser.

I am actually back over here in WV this week with the Husky and after the recent storms, I have had both the 10" and the 16" saws out to get around all the blowdowns.

I know it's only been a few weeks, but those shots of the West Virginia trails are already really cool memories.

Dang I had fun!
Both bikes too. That's dirt-bike heaven. The 250lb kind AND TBDBITW.

Riding with these guys is ADV-riding guaranteed. You'll get used to that "loose" traction feeling soon enough.
