Is the DataDim controller used to connect the driving lights to the upper/lower headlight beams? Is it necessary if you just want to control the driving lights with the Hi-Lo-Off switch (shown)? I assume the Denali bracket won't work if I have the AltRider upper crash bar.
Yes will be interesting to see exactly how hulkss goes about wiring his Denali lights, I have the same lights but mine are mounted to the crashbars

You need the DataDim controller to get low and high brightness from the lights. Either by a high beam trigger wire or the Hi-Lo-Off switch. I like the switch so I can operate the lights on high with low beam head lights during the day.

The bracket probably won't work for you. Denali makes mounts that will clamp to the upper crash bar.

It finally quit snowing here and warmed up above freezing. I got out and rode the bike a bit (300 miles) in beautiful 43 degree F temperature.

A totally great bike and all the add on accessories performed well as expected.

What works best for me:
1. Mode: Sport
2. Preload: Rider plus luggage
3. Damping: Soft 0
4. Seat: Low back - high front (per popular seat mod)
5. Windshield: 24" Madstad, (Parabellum on Madstad bracket was good too)
6. Navigation: iPhone with Scenic Motorcycle Navigation App
7. Grip warmers: Power level 3
8. Tire pressure: 33 psi F, 39 psi R

How are you finding the new mirrors??
Obviously better for off road use as quickly folded but how do you find them on the tarmac , better view than stock without any vibes an distortion .

Gen 1 here. I've had them for 20k miles or so. I have mirror extenders. I installed one Double Take with a stock one on the other side The vibration may be a little more than stock at hiway speed but no big deal The field of vision is way better with no blind spot. Infinitely adjustable.

There is an advantage with the wider adjustment range to get the mirror positioned where it is best for you. I don't have any vibration problems. There is an occasional buzz in the mirror depending on speed, wind, rpm, road surface etc. Can't compare to stock, I never used them.
