Hey guys, I have a problem I'm trying to fix. I changed my front tire a while back and didn't get the abs wire back in its cradle which allowed it to rub in the rotor and expose one of the wires. I pulled the wire apart and soldered the wire back together and reinstalled it. Well, I still have a abs light on and the check engine light stays on. I got into the diagnostic mode and check the :61 codes and there is none. I ordered a new wire but it's not in yet. Could this be something I have to have the dealer clear a code and reset something? I'm pretty good at diagnosing my dirt bikes but this Tenere with the ABS and UBS is a different animal. I checked my fuses on the right side as well and they're all good too.

Thanks,
Fiddler

Ha funny thing...I actually rode it after my re-soldering and the lights went away. Apparently, I must have rubbed clean through the white wire. Now works fine.

the ABS is always checking itself. If you didn't ride it after your soldering job, the light wouldn't have turned off. Same thing on Cars. All it takes a 50-100 ft for the ecu to respond and clear the code.

Glad it's working for you now.
