No experience but that looks compact and versatile. It would be easier if you ever moved to take with you. First I had seen of it.

I've seen them in a small shop in Dublin and it looks like an unused one against the shop wall in a photo I took in Taipei. It caught my eye because most of Asia just works on the floor.

The one I most remember was holding some small UJM (universal Japanese motorcycle). I'm not sure it would be solid enough for me to trust it with the 560 lb Tenere. It ought to lift it straight up, but I'd be nervous with putting any torque on an axle nut or doing anything else out of the vertical.

I always liked the design of this one, but could never justify the freight costs. You're already in the UK though. ::008::

Oklahoma, they're available in the US from http://www.lifts-and-stands.com/. I've had the red version for probably ten years and it is terrific, doesn't take up much space and with the attachments has lifted bikes bigger than the Tenere. It doesn't have the cool tilt feature of the Abba Sky Lift but I haven't needed anything else.

Thanks. Back when I was looking I couldn't seem to find a reliable distributor, but that's been some time ago. I'm using this, now; http://www.kendonusa.com/cruiserlift.html

To the original poster, my intent was not to derail the thread from the Abba...but instead offer similar styled options that can work with the Tenere. ::008::

I'm not too worried about getting off track, as something more suitable may pop up that I wasn't aware of. My main criteria are size, maneuverability and the method by which it raises. I rent a small garage (hatchback size!) with no power and I have 5 bikes and a tool cabinet in there! So it needs to be able to roll away into the corner, not take up too much room and be raised manually.

Thank you all for your input, I've yet to find anyone that has any experience with this lift. Probably because you can get a full table for around half the price!

Spider, quick question if I may... have you lifted the Tenere with your Eazy Rizer Red lift? which mounts did you use? and how stable is it when your actually using a wrench?
Thanks

Footpeg mounts. EDIT: With the wider flat multi mount on the front beam. (Sorry, I don't have a picture and the lift is in storage for a couple more months while we're moving.) It's very stable if you take the time to make sure the bike is on it right. It doesn't get tippy even when one wheel is removed. And the screw lift, if regularly greased, is super smooth...it doesn't have any of the notchiness of some hydraulic lifts. I haven't done any strongarm wrenching on the Tenere, but have done quite a bit on some heavy cruisers while lifted without any worry. I imagine the blue version (which didn't exist when I got mine) is more stable. The Abba Stand has that cool "tilt" feature that keeps the center of gravity, well, centered. But it appears to require bike-specific mounts, and the Tenere isn't on the list.

Thanks for the info.

I'm not trying to push the Kendon as the best solution because it has its faults, price being one of them. However, with multiple bikes it avoids having to purchase separate adapters. Pretty much just roll them on. There's an adjustment in the front wheel chock for different wheel diameters. Once you're finished it rolls and folds neatly against the wall. All are reasons I decided to give it a try.

Picked mine up lightly used for $500(USD).

Thanks Spider. Having looked at the mounting options I assumed the footpeg mount was suited to the Tenere.

There is a show here mid-February so hopefully I will be able to get a closer look at a few different manufacturers before I decide.

Bit the bullet and I'm going to "take one for the team" here. Just purchased the Abba Sky lift, knowing it will not work with the Super Tenere. I have an idea to build a bolt on option that will work with EVERY Super Tenere to use with this lift...... I will keep you all posted

Just curious...why a sky lift over a table?

I am currently using a plain Jane harbor freight $289 table on my triumph trophy. Wheel chock is a pos and has been removed. I've had both wheels off at the same time on the lift with no problem. At full lift I have actually got on the bike, probably pushing its max weight of 1000 lbs

As of yet I have not had a cause to have the bike raised in a wheelie or endo position :). As I don't quite own a s10, I might be missing something

I know of several people that have them, you can have both wheels off the ground at the same time, tilt the bike to all angles which makes access really good for sports bikes but for something the size and weight of an S10 I'd like it on a table!

I see this as one of those US vs worldview things. I've seen them outside of the US and think they've been at a couple of US trade shows, but never actually seen one in the US. Meanwhile, I've seen them in plenty of shops outside of the US, where space is at a premium and they generally work on smaller bikes. After all, something like 80% of the bikes in the US are Harleys and other big cruisers.

If the pictures load, you will see weight is not an issue with this stand. This is a 2004 BMW GSA1150 ( full tank too! ) being tested with the new Abba Skylift. I have started measuring up the Tenere and have come up with a solid design to lift with. The picture is grainy but this is the left side mount design in 2D drawn in Mastercam 2018. I have tested the hole locations on the left side for fit by milling them in a junk aluminum plate I had laying around, final piece will be 3/8 steel. Seems to have enough clearance with the ACD plate for lifting. The reason I want this stand to work with the Tenere is because the ACD plate is a pain in the ass to remove/install for oil changes. Also, cleaning the bike will be a breeze, no more laying it on its side to wash under after a muddy ride on the trails. Plus, I will have more room in my small shop, no room for a table, and its moveable if need be.

old i know as i,ve just asked a question about this lift, looking at the side of the xt1200 bike there is a big black rubber bung one each side i,m assuming if this bung is removed there is a recess hole with a frame bolt in, similar to all bikes can,t understand why there is not a fitting kit that,ll go in there each side, as thats how the abba stand works on most bikes
