Tire and oil threads seem to go on for ever.... ;D. I'm not going to be doing any extreme off roading and most of my time will be on the pavement getting to where I want to go. Good news to hear that some of the S-10's are being fitted with the Tourance.
I'm guessing that on our side of the pond, we will see the BattleWings. I've ran the Tourances before and liked them. Also the TrailWings, but was never real impressed. Never had the BattleWing though.
I've found the Battle Wings to feel "loose" and not to corner well. Did not inspire me to charge hard into a tight curve. I also need a tire that works well in wet conditions. Couple the loose feeling Battle Wing with a slick road and I can see how the came to be called "Death Wings".
The TrailWings were nicknamed "DeathWings". The BattleWing is a completely different tire. I run the twisty stuff pretty well when I get up into the NC mountains and I like them. They work good in the wet, too. Living in Florida means you're going to ride on wet roads-a lot.
I run mine at 39 front and 41 rear. With a heavy touring load, I go up a couple of pounds on each.
