I'm going to mount these below the license plate on the fender. http://motorcyclelighting.com/hyper-uni-photos.html

Hard to say without having the bike yet. I mounted mine directly above the license plate on my FJR (I'll post a picture later). I read on one of my forums where someone had mounted it on the rear of the luggage rack.pqsqac said:This is pretty sharp Rod I'm concerned about space though would this unit fit on the back of the XT you think?
Yes, let me know what you can determine as I will be looking into the same addition to my SuperT later.pqsqac said:I will have to pull my pics out of the rear of the XT from the demo rides and eye things up. It may be too long to fit on the fender where there is available space on the XT but it looks good on the FJR. Thanks for posting.
From my post above:switchback said:What model are you running Rod?
If not above the license plate like I did on the FJR, perhaps on the underside of the luggage rack?pqsqac said:Rod here is a pic of the rear looks like it will fit..

The mounting that I found on another site had used a couple brackets under the rack. The surface where I chose is not flat either and I used a couple hand-made brackets out of 1/8" thick 1' wide aluminum.pqsqac said:I was thinking above or below the license plate. Below the luggage rack doesn't look like a flat surface for mounting but it's hard to tell. Rod do you have a pic with the lights on from the FJR?
That's a good idea... I just leave mine on a steady flash, and when at at stop(unless on a hill ) I release the brake and hold the bike from rolling with my feet.justbob said:I also use the Whelen TR3 but I have found that none of the available flash patterns are appropriate for a brake light pattern.
For $18 you can buy a brake light flasher from Ebay that has an adjustable flash speed and adjustable duration and it works well. The TR3 is the same size as the rectangular reflector found on many japanese bikes, thats where I have mine mounted, where the reflector was.
Dude I hear that!! I rode with a guy that got run over by a propane truck. But for fate or the grace of God, I was not on that trip.. I was going to go, but something came up at the last minute...justbob said:Oh I want to be seen also.
I've added lights to my 2010 Concours 1400, LED turn signals in the mirror housings, HID headlight conversion, an additional taillight and the Whelen flashing brakelight. I've been run over from behind once and prefer that it doesnt happen again.
