A friend and I rode 310 miles yesterday to get to a section of the southeast adventure trail that we haven't done. Most of the miles were getting there and back. We did approximately 80 miles offroad. This is a boring part of the seat that's just dirt roads in the poor areas of Fl and Al. This is the section we did
Nothing too challenging until we got into some deep sand. I was a little nervous as this is the deepest I have taken the s10 into but she tractored through like a beast. When we stopped for pictures, it was a challenge to get going again. Grab a handful of throttle and got to 3rd as fast as I could. I was very impressed by how my 600lb girl handled it. This was a road that's literally part of a field.
The highlight of the trip was coming to a closed road and having to make our way around it. This is why it was closed. A definite no for the s10 or super enduro I was with.
Can you spot the s10?
A few pictures of getting around the mud and back on the road.
All and all a full day of fun riding. The s10 earned a lot of respect from me today. Ive only owned it a few months and this has been the most technical riding I've done on it. I usually take the 690 for that but need to get some experience with the yammie since were doing the mabdr next month. I was concerned with the weight in the sand but with the right technique, it was great.
