When will the 2019 Tenere 1200 be available, or maybe Yamaha has decided to discontinue the 1200 Tenere ?
Looks like they are re-inventing the 'World Crosser' edition, some blacked out body panels......what upgrades?
Yes, still the Gen 2 bike, with some additional accessory options...Looks like they are re-inventing the 'World Crosser' edition, some blacked out body panels......
And the side panels have mesh covered exhaust vents too! Exciting times!Looks like they are re-inventing the 'World Crosser' edition, some blacked out body panels......

The image before shown before you play the video look like the OEM bags (I have a set) that have been offered since the Gen 1s were first introduced. Subsequent shots show what look like Givi Trekker Outback cases without the Yamaha name on them.Hey! Where did they get those Battle Wings?! Thought THEY were discontinued. The boxes LOOK after market, but say Yamaha. Bound to be an improvement. Other than those "exciting" mesh vents, I didn't SEE anything significant.

Just because something is on Youtube- don't make it so. And I agree with some others- what changes? I can buy those panniers and the bash plate now.Well apparently there will be a 2019 Tenere 1200 because there is a YouTube video showing one, looks like they may have finally done some significant upgrades
Skid plate is different, saddlebag looks different , since mine is a 2013 the instrument cluster is entirely different, guess right now I’m just hoping for some significant improvements, I’m happy to see the 1200 ain’t going away at least not for 2019. Hopefully they have finally improved the headlights. I have seriously been considering trading mainly to get cruise control, after about 700,000 miles of riding bikes equipped with cruise it really sucks riding very far without it
The Givi bags are a nice upgrade over the old OEMs, and the skid plate is cool. But I wouldn't call them or anything else "significant." I had those givi bags on my triumph. They're nice as an OEM option. BTW they started offering cruise control standard at some point with the gen 2 bikes, so you don't even need the ES.Skid plate is different, saddlebag looks different , since mine is a 2013 the instrument cluster is entirely different, guess right now I’m just hoping for some significant improvements, I’m happy to see the 1200 ain’t going away at least not for 2019.
