The Smoky Mt 500 is a 3 day loop that also takes you from Tellico, down into GA, back up to Fontana and back to Tellico. It's a great loop

I had given up on clicking on the 2018 rally a long time ago because all I ever saw was talk, it was only a few minutes ago that I found out there actually will be a rally.

I spoke to the folks at the lodge about availability & they said ...holding as of now
Mabe give us a rally password to make our reservation with Hunts

No that was back when we were gauging interest looking to see how many folks would prefer to camp vice tenting it When I get done finalizing everything registration will be open and and we will get a list together. Please be patient that thread is listed as chit chat, not who is attending

No problem man......like you, Jax UB and many more I too am fired up. TN is home for me and even I CAN'T get enough riding there........it will be a good time. I make my rally's as easy as possible, show up, have fun, meet folks and ride. Occasionally some Canadian will show and and bring good or bad beer.........depends on who you ask. There is a story there.

When: Rocktober 4th to the 8th, you can come early and stay late......

So what is the plan so far?
Tues: show up and be yourself
Wed: show up and be yourself, let's meet for dinner at the Tellico Plaines Cafe (NOT INCLUDED)
6:30 PM (or so), kinda a meet and greet.
Shake hands, ask questions, have a beverage (BYOB).
Thur: ride some, relax, enjoy your time on a bike
Fri: ride some, relax, enjoy your time on a bike
Sat: Banquet dinner, food and some drink, say good bye, talk about all the fun we had, draw raffle prizes

I'm confused - my calendar has Oct 4 as Thur, Oct 8 is a Monday.


It looks like you either have the wrong dates or the wrong days of the week called out.

whoops.....that is my mistake. you are correct, I tried doing this in word and cutting and pasting it to avoid errors but it did not work. error corrected, sorry for the mistake.

I planned it out since Monday is a federal holiday and those that get it off will have an extra day, also most folks come early or stay late......I wanted to make sure folks know they can stay before or after if they want to. Lori wont kick a rider out if they want to stay until Tuesday.......just got to make the arrangements with her.

Did some early recon out on Doublecamp Creek, Cherohala and many other destination-type roads a couple weeks ago. The only gate I found was on the Winding Stairs Rd, just off of the Nantahala River. Not surprised as it is prone to washouts, trees/boulders and locals that want it shut down. We won't be missing much as it's less than 3 miles of gravel.
