Interesting...the older models came with 50 (aspect ratio not mm) rear tires and to sharpen handling owners were installing 55's. Now they come with 55's but you want to go back to a 50?Maxified said:I anticipate making are going to a 50mm sidewall when the tires are toast (forums seem to agree that doing so really helps handling which is already pretty good)
Thanks for calling me on that, I did have it a$$-backwards; 50s are on it now, considering going to 55s based on many postings on other forums.scott123007 said:Interesting...the older models came with 50 (aspect ratio not mm) rear tires and to sharpen handling owners were installing 55's. How's that N1K treating you? I'm seriously considering trading my Street Triple for one of those. Unfortunately, there's snow on the ground here so there's no test rides to be found. But, it wouldn't be the first bike I bought without a test ride. ::26::X5 said:Test rode a 2014 N1K and brought her home to stay today.
Good time of year to possibly get a good deal on a new motorcycle especially with snow on the ground and sales folks still trying to pay off Christmas. The four people I know that own a N1K have not had any buyers' remorse nor do I.JohnB said:How's that N1K treating you? I'm seriously considering trading my Street Triple for one of those. Yes, this is my favorite time of year to buy bikes. There's virtually no one in the showroom and snow on the ground outside. >Maxified said:Good time of year to possibly get a good deal on a new motorcycle especially with snow on the ground and sales folks still trying to pay off Christmas. Recently field tested the anti-lock brakes in an attempt not to run a yellow-turning-red light in front of a county sheriff, pretty darn effective. ::013::
Bump. How's that N1K treating you? I'm seriously considering trading my Street Triple for one of those.X5 said:Test rode a 2014 N1K and brought her home to stay today.
