It is an old man's sport bike, fairly agile & reasonably quick. Having owned three "old man" sport bikes: the N1K , the first gen FZ1 & the second gen Bandit, I like my little Ninja the best. Still, if what you want is a screaming sport bike there are better choices out there.

Thank you for your reply max.

I road a 2014 nk1 today and it was brilliant. About 100lbs less than the s10 with 40 more horses. Brakes were truely nosebleed!

Surprised I fit on it and not quasi moto hunched forward. Anything u do not like about your little ninja?

Looking for some more excitement but not a full blown crotch rocket.

No complaints really. Did pickup a Sargent seat, set of spools (no center stand), & windshield for the cooler weather. It is great for when you feel the need for a little hooliganism. Only other changes I anticipate making are going to a 50mm sidewall when the tires are toast (forums seem to agree that doing so really helps handling which is already pretty good) and possibly changing out the front gear; just not into wheelies much anymore. I find it pretty comfy yet it provides plenty of excitement for this old fart.

Interesting...the older models came with 50 (aspect ratio not mm) rear tires and to sharpen handling owners were installing 55's. Now they come with 55's but you want to go back to a 50?

Thanks for calling me on that, I did have it a$$-backwards; 50s are on it now, considering going to 55s based on many postings on other forums.

I'd enjoy one, but my wife might notice a third bike floating around...

When our daughter was born, we named her Myles after my beloved late (1) father, despite family warnings that the name was too masculine (2).Years later, when I felt she was old enough to understand, I explained to Myles, “Your name is very special .I named you after my own father (3) because I loved him very much .I know he would be proud of you.”

How's that N1K treating you? I'm seriously considering trading my Street Triple for one of those. Unfortunately, there's snow on the ground here so there's no test rides to be found. But, it wouldn't be the first bike I bought without a test ride. ::26::

Good time of year to possibly get a good deal on a new motorcycle especially with snow on the ground and sales folks still trying to pay off Christmas. The four people I know that own a N1K have not had any buyers' remorse nor do I.

Recently field tested the anti-lock brakes in an attempt not to run a yellow-turning-red light in front of a county sheriff, pretty darn effective. ::013::

Yes, this is my favorite time of year to buy bikes. There's virtually no one in the showroom and snow on the ground outside. >:D
The S10 is my first bike with ABS, traction control and adjustable fueling and I like them all so the N1K will probably be an upgrade to the Triumph ... except for the extra weight. I'd really love an FZ-09 with Ninja-like bodywork and components but this doesn't exist.
